About the Author

This book and its companion book are just not up to the standard of her other books. The characters and dialogue are not anywhere as well developed and engaging as her other books. Almost mildly entertaining to read once but not worth rereading. I hope her next series will be a return to the fun reading style of her earlier works. I have reread many of her other books several times and have kept them as they are fun to read.

I bought this asuming it would be good, like every other novel by Julia Quinn, but I was a extremely dissapointed with this book, which is a shame because I love pretty much every other julia quinn book there is. It's basically a retelling of the Lost Duke Of Wyndham but from the other character's points of view..I found reading some of the same stuff over again boring. You could get away with just reading the Lost Duke Of Wyndham, which is good..and not having to read this one.
