Product Description

Geomorphology: A Canadian Perspective is a comprehensive text designed for use by undergraduate students at a variety of levels. Although it has a very strong emphasis on Canadian topics and examples, the material is not exclusively Canadian. This includes coverage of coral, mangrove, and tropical karst for example. Some parts of the book may be too advanced for some students at the introductory and service course levels, but they will be useful to students and instructors at more advanced levels, and to those instructors who want to expose undergraduates to the scientific aspects of process geomorphology at the junior levels. An extensive glossary explains the meaning of terms that may be unfamiliar to the beginning students, while providing a text for the more experienced reader that is not burdened with too many definitions. There is also a fairly lengthy list of references at the back of the book, with a strong bias to more recent work.
