4.0 out of 5 stars The Princess is Just a Tad Bit Spoiled, April 21 2004
By Maggie Mae (Memphis, Tennessee) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Francesca (Paperback)
Unknown to Francesca Brody when she was young her grandfather and cousin bought off her first love, paid him money to go away as he wasn't wealthy. Francisco married a prince on the rebound then later divorced. She'd been brought up in wealth, always had the best of everything, but she's always been kind of lost, kind of empty and she's very spoiled.

Her family, headed by her grandfather Calum, is celebrating the 200th year of the House of Brody in Portugal. They are a wine making clan and are putting out a spread that would make a king jealous. However it appears they have one extra guest, someone has crashed the gala. Francesca immediately blames the tall, good looking, but quite rude American Sam Gallagher, then later, when there is an altercation between Sam and Tiffany Dean, a woman Francisco believes is a money grabber after one of her cousins, she has Sam escorted off the estate.

However Sam isn't the poor cowboy from the States that he seems and now he's got his eyes on Princes Francesca. What will it take for him to win her heart? Apparently a lot, because Francesca believes Sam is in love with the gold digging Tiffany and she does her level best to spite them both at every turn.

This book is part two of a three part series. Sadly I was only able to get the last two parts, "Francesca" and "Calum" both of which are super romances. I just loved to see the interplay between the cowboy and the princess. If ever anybody needs to be knocked down a peg or two, Francesca is that person and you'll enjoy seeing her getting a couple of her just desserts in this excellent story.
