I own a similar reference to this one done by the same authors and is very good but not as good as this one. I have this one available to me in two work places and I'm tempted to buy this for myself. If you need a reference such as this, get this one.

I had this book recommended to me as a transcription terminology aid. It is very limited in that function. It is obviously a very good book for those who will be performing tests, but not as much so for those of us transcribing the results. It is useful for providing context to help you infer what type of test or range of results you may be listening for, but you will need a book specifically for terminology once you have narrowed it down.

Excelente, l�gica y pedag�gica organizaci�n interna: �ndices, tabla de materias y orden del material. Usa fraseolog�a simple y f�cil de entender. Las explicaciones de cada procedimiento y las interpretaciones de todos los posibles resultados son excelentes. Siendo emergenci�logo, este libro me ha sido de una gran ayuda en la pr�ctica de Medicina de Emergencia. Usa un ingl�s sencillo y muy medico-cient�fico, de muy f�cil interpretaci�n. Calidad de papel, encuadernaci�n e ilustraciones son maravillosas. Este vol�men no debe de faltar en la oficina de ning�n colega, aunque sea de habla hispana.

everything a nurse needs to know about diagnostic and laboratory tests. an essential and user friendly reference and companion in clinical practice or study. what more can i say?
