Product Description

Alexis "Lexi" Stone has finally gotten out of the Accounting department and into the field. Being a T-FLAC operative is dangerous, but Lexi has yearned for the day she would work in a black op. Even though Lexi has no powers, she is now working with the psi unit. The Wizard Council wants to know if one of their top wizards, Alexander "Alex" Stone, has become a traitor. (Same last name, but no relation.)

Alex cannot believe that Lexi has been recruited and is now an operative. Though she has absolutely zero experience, Lexi has become involved in one of T-FLAC's deadliest missions. Alex is determined to keep the lady safe. Easier said than done. Alex's powers have been fluctuating lately. If his powers falter at an inopportune moment, both of them would perish. Protocol is to report his power troubles, but Alex feels that his abilities are needed too much right now. Several groups of terrorists "Tangos" have been taking hostages, demanding ransoms, and then releasing LZ17 (killing themselves and all the hostages) long before the given deadline. The numbers of the Tangos seem to be endless. The Tangos are appearing all over the globe, targeting no one country.

*** THREE STARS! I had a hard time keeping the two main characters separated in my head. The names Alexis and Alexander both have "Alex" in them. As for the nickname of "Lexi", that small letter "i" is easily overlooked. (The same last name gave me no trouble at all.) Other than the two main characters having nicknames and first names WAY too similar, I found this story to be very good. The plot builds slowly at first, but if you read closely you can figure out the Who and Why long before the operatives do. Well worth your time and money to read. ***
