For private investigator Mick Dante, casual surveillance of ethereal Emily Thorne , the beautiful redhead who lived in the next building , was definitely his pleasure- and none of his business. Until the day she innocently walked into his office to hire him.....

Mick steeled himself against her sea-green eyes , her gently voice, her sweet intuitions, as together they tracked her missing brother. But there was no fighting it: now that Emily was at close range, he was falling- hard. But she deserved a nice life with a nice guy...not him. Passion with Emily would surely be heaven, but ending it- as he must- would surely be hell.
