A boring, tedious read. The plot was flimsy and the author took the heroine's innocence to a ridiculous level. Even though the book first came out in the mid-1990s (I believe), the heroine was so naive that it was hard to believe it was a contemporary romance novel. I mean, did she spend the first 28 years of her life living in a bubble, without access to t.v., books, magazines . . . Come on! I really wanted to like this book after having read 3 others in the series, but the heroine got on my nerves with her over-the-top naivete and her frequent pointing out that she had to lose 15 pounds and wasn't beautiful for the hero. The hero wasn't bad, but he, too, lacked depth.

So, for me, the book was not worth the time or effort.
