The re-examination of a murder case laid to an uneasy rest 27 years earlier leads Detective Superintendent Dalziel across Wales and the eastern seaboard of the United States. He unravels an affair of Byzantine complexity, demanding close attention from the listener. The rewards are great, however. Glover has a rich, pleasing voice and projects a lively intelligence.
