Perhaps I am not enough of a romantic. I loved vision in white and was drawn into Mac and Carter's story - her relationship with her mom and courting with Carter. I loved it. Bed of roses didn't pull me into Emmas story or feel sympathetic for her and Jack. I thought Jack's character wasn't developed enough or delve into his parents divorce and the effect on his relationships. I was much more interested in his story then Emmas - I always think Nora writes men better than women. Still, I wouldn't have wanted to miss book two and am looking forward to Laurel and Del's story. We get snippits in this book and introduced to Mal. Can't wait for book 3 and 4.
