A Review by Sidne

Selwyn is an eighteen-year old boy struggling to prove his innocence of murder. Anora, a young woman Selwyn proposed to was devastated. She declined Selwynï¿s proposal and accepted Farolds (the man Selwyn was accused of murdering). Selwyn was dragged from his family and was driven into a cave with Farolds body. He was tied to a rock nearby. Just when he was sure he would die he saw a bright green glowing light. He had no idea what it was and didnï¿t care, whether angel or ghost he just hoped it could prove his innocence.

One thing I didnï¿t enjoy about the book, ï¿Never Trust a Dead Manï¿, was that the main character, Selwyn was never descriptive. He never clearly described how he felt about the situation he was in. The only description he gave was when he was in the cave and was describing how dark and damp it was. If I could give suggestions for the book I would have to describe how Selywn thought about his family, Anora, or how he felt about being accused of murder. I did however, enjoy the humor in the book. It took a dark fantasy into a humorous mystery. It made Farolds character seem more likable instead of dark, the author turned death into humor. Another thing I liked about the book was that the author added magic. It expanded the thinking of the story and made you think about what you would do in Selwynï¿s situation, since he had the ability to acquire the magic.

I enjoyed the book. I thought it was a fun mystical adventure. I wouldnï¿t recommend this book for readers that enjoy high action and surprises. This is a good book however for light readers that enjoy a good fiction.

4.0étoiles sur 5 A book that you can't put down!, Fév 13 2003
Par a student (Versailles, OH USA) - Voir tous mes commentaires
I read the book called "Never trust a Dead Man" This book is filled with adventure and mystery. Selwyn is a teenage boy who has been accused for killing Farold. The thing is, Selwyn didn't kill him. As a punishment for Selwyn, he is put in a underground burial cave with Farold to die. But, a witch showed up that could rise Farold from the dead and do magic. Selwyn and Farold team up and try to find the real killer who killed Farold. To find the killer, Selwyn has to rely on Farold, a dead man.

This book is really exciting. I don't even like to read, and I still enjoyed this book. If you like adventure and Mystery you'll love this book.

5.0étoiles sur 5 Never trust a dead man, Fév 12 2003
Never Trust a dead man is a book with alot of good characters. It is one os the best books I ever read. It hase a really good plot. In this book two men fall in love with one women and when she chooses a man named Farold over the main character because of his money. The next Day Farold is found dead and Anora the wopmen he was going to marry is shoucked and will not come out of her house. The main character is then accused and put in a cave to die. I liked this book because it is a good mix of fantasy action and mystery. This is a good book and if you like fantasy with witches spells, action and mystery then this is a good book for you. If you want to know if the main character finds out who,did it you will have to raed the book. The title might give you a clue what happens.
