Calvin and Kathy are back, and this time they deal with a good alien who appears in the form of a cat (Dandelion of the title); bad aliens, in the form of giant lizards; a shrinking space ship; and an invisibility gadget that doesn't work too wellits alien owners are inept engineers. With the help of Dandelion and their Uncle Hal, Calvin and Kathy rout the baddies. Unless your readers loved the first book, direct young science fiction/fantasy fans to Williams and Abrashkin's Danny Dunn (Archway), Beatty's Matthew Looney (Avon), and Slobodkin's The Space Ship Under the Apple Tree (Macmillan, 1971).
