Ginger wows her new classmates with her big-city style. She falls for Craig, who backs off because he's heard the rumor that she's going with a Matt Dillon-type star. There are interesting descriptions of clothes and of the intricacies of being accepted in a new school. But the major weakness of this series remains plot, and the story hinges on the unlikely behavior of Ginger letting the cheerleader spread rumors about her and the famous teen heartthrob. It just doesn't hold together.
