Product Description

From Amazon.com

On the Isle of Sampetra, Emperor Ubla, better known as Mad Eyes, sends his lizard army on a mission to capture Redwall. Meanwhile the inhabitants of Redwall are on a mission of their own--to solve the six fiendishly difficult riddles that will lead them to the rose-colored gems, the Pearls of Lutra. As they get closer to solving to riddles, the lizards get closer to Redwall and a battle to the death begins.

One of the excellent fantasy adventure series about the mystical Redwall, Pearls of Lutra is a magical, mind-blowing adventure that never disappoints. Brian Jacques expertly weaves his web of intrigue through the pages, capturing the imagination with a stroke of a pen as if he were a wizard with a wand. Challenging, colorful, and, most importantly, readable to the point of addiction, The Pearls of Lutra is an absolute must. --Susan Harrison

Ingram

"School Library Journal" says that "Brian Jacques has the true fantasy writer's ability to create a wholly new and believable world". And the bestselling author of the "Redwall" series now proves it once again with his new bestseller about a magnificent set of rose-colored pearls--and the quest of both an evil emperor and a determined young hedgehog to claim them.

By Patrick Beerman (Buckley, Washington United States) - See all my reviews
I've read this book about 25 times. I'm 13 and have only been reading Brain Jacques's books for a year and I've already read his series twice! This is my favorite because its packed with loads of adventure and the fight against evil. Best Book EVER!

This review is from: Pearls of Lutra (Paperback)
The Pearls of Lutra is a really great novel. I loved that there are lots of riddles that the Redwallers have to solve. This is my favourite book in the entire Redwall series. Another jewel in Brian Jacques' crown.

5.0 out of 5 stars Exciting ,Awesome and Deliciously Frightening., Jun 3 2002
By A Customer
This is a very good book. The plot is very intriguing and always keeps you hooked. It's hard to put down once you start it. Even if you haven't read any other Redwall books, this one is easy to understand and fun to read. Brian Jacques has given us a new character, The Emperor. You wouldn't believe how crazy the Emperor is! I recommend this book for ages 8 and up.
