Product Description

Ingram

Third in the Myth series. There's no question about it, the Trophy is easily the ugliest object Skeeve has ever seen in any dimension--and he has certainly seen a thing or two. 2 cassettes. --This text refers to an out of print or unavailable edition of this title.

4.0 out of 5 stars Myths, Mar 7 2003
This review is from: Myth Directions (Paperback)
Myth Directions by Robert Aspirin. There were a lot of interesting things that I liked about this book. One was how the author depicted the features of each of the characters. These characters aren't like your normal everyday people. They are from a fantasy world that exist in you imagination. While Skeeve is your average normal boy, Aahz and Tanada are demons from some other dimension. Another of Aahz's friend is a troll, "While I had never seen a troll before, I knew that this as one.", P.133 and Gus who is a gargoyle.
In this book there are a lot of themes that the author develops. One is that there are a wide variety of adventures and new places to experience. Not just the ordinary day to day things that people expereince. The other is that people can get along with others that are different from them. I agree with each of these messages.
I would definitely recommend this book because it challenges you to think beyond your every day thoughts. This book will fill your mind with new kinds of characters and thoughts that will make you realize this is indeed a world expanded by your growing imagination.

5.0 out of 5 stars Birthday presents and making fun of Towns, Jun 8 2002
By Hikari (Ann Arbor Area, MI, USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Myth Directions (Paperback)
I loved the book, but the part about the Blue and Yellow Paper freaks made me think on the second read. Near where I live there's a University where I guess you could say that there are tons of Blue and Yellow Paper freaks, just try to do anything on a game day and you'll be stuck in traffic. (If you know anything about College colors you'll find that Michigan has both "towns" that are used in the book, the Red and White of MSU and the Blue and Yellow of U of M) I happen to love Dragons. Gleeep!

I loved this book about dimension travels. The problems Skeeve faces are funny and typical.

5.0 out of 5 stars Happy Birthday Aahz!
This was the first Myth I ever read, and will forever be my favorite. It conjures up many a strange image of Skeeve astride Gleep. (Gleep is my favorite character. Read more
