Product Description

President Will Lee's vice-president just died during surgery, and Lee's new pick may be hiding something from his past. Meanwhile, rogue CIA agent Teddy Fay is plotting revenge on CIA Director Kate Rule Lee, the First Lady. On top of all this, some nuclear weapons are "loose" in Pakistan, and the prevention of WWIII depends on Lee's efforts to resolve the situation.



About the Author

Stuart Woods was born on January 9, 1938 in Manchester, Georgia. He graduated from the University of Georgia. Woods worked in the advertising business and eventually wrote two non-fiction books before being given an advance to write a novel he had been pondering for nearly a decade. Chiefs (1981) won an Edgar Award and was made into a TV miniseries starring Charlton Heston. Woods has published a number of books since.

This book follows some traditional lines for a political thriller-reelection politics and intrigue, foreign crises and espionage and adds colorful characters, some sexual encounters and enchanting locations (e.g. Cumberland Island) to the mix. The author's love of airplanes and jets shows through with some interesting insights. The action is fast-paced and mainly unravels through dialogue, at which Woods excels. As Will Lee attempts to get reelected, numerous threats from multiple angles jeopardize his standing and future. The Griffon Trilogy: Part I

Another novel in the Will Lee character group. Decent story, moves along and then closes fast. I bit fractured, not as good as some of his other work. Found it short compared to other works.
