4.0 out of 5 stars Good for an Authors first Novel, Jul 4 2000
The beginning did not keep me interested at all, the training gave you no real explanation of the characters and kept youin the dark for about 10 chapters, it was as if there was no personality, but as the book progressed after that I couldn't stop reading it, and considering the quality and effort as an authors first novel so I give it 4 stars.

4.0 out of 5 stars A MUST BUY, April 24 2000
By Jason MacKenzie (Way Point Juniper, 3 jumps from the Out Worlds Alliance) - See all my reviews
The troops are assimbled, the new Lord is in his seat and there is war brewing in the Inner Sphere. The 5 Great Houses wants to do what no other person has thought of doing. The only problem is they must do it together. Robert Thurston has created one of the best Battletech novels I have ever read. If you're into the more subtle aspect of Battletech this book is for you.
