4.0étoiles sur 5 Enjoyable Read - Possible Spoilers, Mai 7 2004
Par Un client
This review is from: No Greater Love (Hardcover)
Just finished reading this and must say that I really liked the character of Edwina. I admired the fact that she single handedly raised her younger siblings and tried to keep the family business intact. I found it unfair and selfish that the mother decided to stay and die with the father, leaving VERY young children behind for a women barely out of childhood herself, to raise.
In any case, I hightly recommend it for any Danielle Steele fans.

5.0étoiles sur 5 get out the tissue for this one, Juil 21 2002

This review is from: No Greater Love (Paperback)
this was my first danielle steele book and i have been hooked
every since. it starts out with a loving husband and wife and
their six kids ranging from 20 to 2 years of age. they decide
to book a passage on the titanic. as the ship is going down, the
children all make it to life boats but they are not allowing the
men anywhere near them. the wife decides that her oldest daughter
can take care of the children but she refuses to have a life without her husband so they both go down with the ship. needless
to say the oldest daughter forgoes marriage and love to raise her
five sibling in a heartrending story that only danielle steele
can bring so much reality to. this is a must read if you never
read any of her other ones. this is a true standout of all the book i have read in my many years of being a bookworm.

4.0étoiles sur 5 One of my favorites, Juil 19 2002
This review is from: No Greater Love (Paperback)
While not my all time favorite Steel book, it does rank up there.

I'm more partial to her historical books, which is one reason I liked this one so much.

Set in the early days of California (1912 - ), the book takes you from England, onto the Titanic, to New York, to California and back to England. Though the book is "family" based, the main character is Edwina, who has to come to terms with the death, raising a family, and finding love.

Beautifully written. I'd recommend it to anyone who loves romance, especially historical romance.
