Grade 5-8-- Erin Jenkins, 16, leads an almost fairy-tale life. She has a major role in a popular TV sitcom, her grandmother is a legendary star, and her father is a respected film director. But all is not stardust. Erin's relationship with her mother is tense and increasingly confrontational, and she sees her parents' closeness as a personal rejection. When her show is suddenly cancelled, Erin is devastated but develops a movie idea that will allow her to act, salvage her grandmother's fading career, and bring her family together. During all of these developments she falls in love with Eddie, her TV co-star.
