2.0 out of 5 stars A little too... little?, April 21 2009
'The Kissing Game' is very generic as far as "chick lit" goes. Don't get me wrong, I came into the book expecting the cursory love story and quirky characters, but the story fell short for what it was worth. Perhaps it's a matter of length... the plot and characters stroke me as incomplete, and only superficially presented. It also bordered on TOO corny, even for a novel of its kind. Still, the main elements of a decent chick book were there (charming ladies-man chases after head-on-her-shoulders heroine) and was relatively enjoyable. A nice and light read.

4.0 out of 5 stars Romantic Times Review, April 13 2004

(REAL NAME)
Suzanne Brockmann celebrates Christmas in wonderful fashion with THE KISSING GAME (4.5). A feisty private detective down in the Keys refuses to take seriously the flirtatious attentions of the sexy antiques dealer she dragoons into helping her find the heir to a reclusive old lady's fortune. An author of tremendous range and versatility, Ms. Brockmann proves herself a master of love and laughter who knows how to make our hearts sing with utter delight.
