When an unexpected storm disrupts young widow Alicia Russell's camping trip with her two sons, she and the boys are rescued by a mysterious man who offers them shelter for the night. Well written and sensual, this hardcover reissue of one of Brown's early entries in the Bantam Loveswept line holds up well given the time that has elapsed since its initial publication in the early 1980s. The way Sandra Brown writes is wonderful. So far i have gone through a ton of her books and I have not found one I dislike.
With this one she portrayed the characters perfect. It was like you stepped into the story and where there with the characters. I loved it.
This one i have read more than once and it still wasnt enough.

I absolutely loved this book, I was in the bookstore with my sister and she picked up this book, I read the first line of it and knew I had to get it too, it was really fun to read and I have recommended it to almost everyone i know, and everyone has said that they loved it too! I would recommend this to anyone who likes a good romance novel.

The story itself is a simply-written and sensual story. What absolutely ruins it is the horrible, awful job Alison Frasier does reading it. Her attempt at "voices" is like fingernails on a chalkboard. She makes Pierce, the main male character, sound like Larry the Lounge Lizard. She makes the children sound like cartoon characters and Alicia, the main female character sounds like a cross between Morgan Fairchild and Anna Nicole Smith. I seriously had to struggle to listen to the whole story, not because of the story itself, but because the voices were just so caustic. I know this review seems harsh, but beleive me, it's justified. I recommend you READ this book, and not LISTEN to it...you'll thank me!

This is one of the best books I have ever read. I usually do not like to read but when i picked up this book I couldn't put it down, literally. I finished it in one sitting.

This is not one of Sandra Brown's best books. It was written in 1984 and probably when she first started writing. That's my guess anyway after reading the book. Read more
