I think this book is one of the best books I've ever read. (and I've read a lot) The author wrote this book so good! The way she writes you actually feal all of Ratha's feelings and I usually don't cry over books but I did for this one. It's awful this book is out of print. I hope someday i can read the others!

I love this book! I've only got it today at my school's library and began reading it today. I'm half way finished and believe I'll be finished tomorrow. Usually when reading a book it takes me a week, but when reading this one, it really pulled me in and the details are so well put out that you can actually see it and feel each emotion when Ratha gets rejected, Angry, when she mates with Bonechewer and even when she gives birth. I really recommend this book. ... :)

This is a wonderful book! After reading Watership Down I wanted to read another book with animals as the main characters. My school librarian recommended this book and it is wonderful! The reader follows the life of Ratha from a cub to an adult cat with cubs of her own. This is a captiviating story filled with adventure. I couldn't put it down, in fact I read it in one night!
