4.0 out of 5 stars Good book., Jun 18 1999
By A Customer
I just ordered this book like 3 weeks ago and finished it in 3 days. It was a really good book and it was clever how Hoh made this conflict. Although at the end, it's a really, really, big shocker. I couldn't believe it. I recommend this book to anyone.

4.0 out of 5 stars ... A tale of a killer and a girl. Revengeful with horror., Nov 13 1998
By A Customer
The book was pretty good.A killer seeks for revenge, and Addie Adair gets caught up in the middle by finding a computer disk with a file of coding. She finds a scary surprise later on... A pretty norml, usual scary story that was good.

4.0 out of 5 stars Decent, but not Diane Hoh's best work., Jun 2 1998
By A Customer
If you don't know much about computers or cryptography, then you might be impressed with this book. I wasn't. Here are the problems I found with it: 1) Why was the killer so stupid that he didn't password protect the computer file? It's so easy to do that and so stupid not to do that. 2) Why did the killer even make the computer file when he was worried about being discovered in the first place? 3) The code was really, really simple. I was hoping that it would be a substitution cipher or something at least a little sophisticated. Nope. I've read all of the Nightmare Hall series, and the killer was kind of obvious to me so there wasn't ANY surprise or anticipation. Anti-climactic. Instead of reading this one, try "Prom Date", "The Accident" or "The Invitation", all by Diane Hoh. They aren't part of the Nightmare Hall series, but infinitely more interesting.
