This book is the conclution to the broken sky series. The book starts off a year later with a stranger named Mi'atte. Mi'atte works as a slave in the mines and can't remember what happened to her before the last year. However, strange things have happened to her lately. She has been finding strange objects all over the mines, the latest being a flail with three chains, each of which having a spiked iron ball attatched. Then one day a name pops up in her head. The name is Kia. Meanwhile, many things have happened in Kirin Taq. Ryushi, also known as the one who slain Aurin(if you read all the other books you'll find out the truth), roams around the newly freed land with his bonded wyvern, Araceil. Calica, Gerdi, Hochi, Jaan, and Iriqi finally find a deliverer that can deactiviate the heartstone. Soon the Parakkans in Kirin Taq finally cross over to reunite in Gar Jenna. But it seems Macaan is getting desprate, and will do anything to destroy Parakka. You'll be taken for a ride in this thrilling conclution filled with action, excitment, tragety sacrafice, love, and an amazing ending that will leave you begging for more.

5.0étoiles sur 5 Broken Sky, Janv. 8 2003

I REALLY like these books. The storyline is just awesome.I also like how it is sort of a combo between Sci-Fi and Fantasy.I like the characters, too.Ryushi and Gerdi are probably my favorites.I would have definatly given these books many more stars.I also don't think that there should be an age thing on them.Anybody who enjoys action books would definatly like these books.Although they do have some romance in them(I don't like romance too much), it adds a "flavoring" to them.Chris Wooding is truly an awesome author. He should definatly write more of these great books. In short, these are the best books I have ever read.

5.0étoiles sur 5 These books have so much meaning, and they ROCK!!!!!!!, Oct. 20 2002

I will start by saying i would have given these books a (heck) of a lot more than five stars. These ar by far the best books I've ever read. I started reading them when #3 came out, and I read them all quickly (considering i was 11 and fast approaching the "max age" for these books according to the back, plus i read like the wind). While there is a suggested age for the books, I firmly believe that there is a content in them that even the most refined of adults would enjoy.

These books center around Kia and Ryushi, two twins who grow up living a secluded lifestyle. When a maniacal king, whom they thought so dearly of, destroys their entire life, home, family, friends and all, they are thrown into a dangerous game of rebellion. The reason these books are so fanciful is because the people of their land of the dominions are given spirit-stones at an early age, which give them a special ability such as force manipulation, earth shaping, the ability to disguise oneself, pregognition, chaos, among others. The books are st in a Final Fantasy-esque blend of medival sword-and-sorcery and mechanical machines and vehicles. Chris wooding (also the writer of Kerosene) is a true master of description.

It would be impossible to describe all 9 books in a thousand words (even a picture couldn't do it), so I will leave it up to the reader to read them and see. The main theme of these books is predjudice, and the fact that race and belief (and eye color) must be overcome to realize any goal. These books are very deep, and they do have pictures of all of the main characters for reference (made by the unspeakable Steve Kyte). I will close this review in saying while these books are short, they hold an unbelievable amount of impressive story. And they would make a very good Anime series or movie series. (if anyone with connections to Toei Animation sees this, READ THE BOOKS AND TRY TO ANIMATE THEM!!! IT WOULD PROBABLY TOP DIGIMON!!!). so read these books, i just can't say enough about them!!!!!!!
