As Halloween rolls around again, Paige is very much into the holiday spirit. Dressing up as what people think a witch looks like, and handing out candy. But this year, Samhain, a Wiccan celebration, brings along destruction of the city of San Francisco. Buildings throughout San Francisco are actually melting, and, upon further investigation, the Charmed Ones soon figure out that the buildings being melted are actually dimensional portals, that someone is trying to open up. Paige, Piper, and Phoebe now have to secure these barriers, in order to save the world as we know it. But there's a problem, the demon working against them isn't actually a demon. It's a wraith, which was the product of a grief-stricken young witch, looking to bring her dead fiance back from the dead. This is the first CHARMED book in which I have read, and I am not at all disappointed. The books cover more than the TV show, which is a nice addition, and Weiss and Wilson wrote in such a believable way, that you actually feel like you're there with the Charmed Ones. A great book for teens, or fans of CHARMED, especially around All Hallows' Eve, a.k.a. Halloween. Erika Sorocco
