A weird prophecy forecasts that Peter Gannet will see ghosts and have communication with the Devil. And so he does, in a locksmith's shop in Covent Garden, where he meets with a phantom stinking of fish, that beckons to him with an empty sleeve. Is it the ghost of the last apprentice, and if so what does it want with him?
