From Amazon.com

Part one of Julie Garwood's trilogy, The Clayborne Brides, takes on a timeworn scenario: Travis Clayborne, a no-nonsense cowboy escorts a mail-order bride across Montana as a favor to his mother. The bride, Emily Finnegan, is a pedantic Boston screwball who initiates their relationship by shooting at him. She misses, and things go downhill from there. As the pair proceeds toward Emily's rendezvous with matrimony, the sparks--romantic and otherwise--fly. There are the inevitable bumps along the way, and few surprises, so don't expect any. One Pink Rose is like silk: smooth, lightweight, and an indulgent pleasure. The other Clayborne brothers, first introduced as a gang of New York City street urchins in Garwood's bestselling For the Roses, meet their matches in One White Rose and One Red Rose.

From Library Journal

Based on characters from Garwood's best-selling For the Roses (Pocket, 1995), this short romance takes headstrong, antimarriage Travis Clayborne, puts him in charge of safely transporting mail-order bride Emily Finnegan to her future husband, and lets proximity takes its course. Travis is determined to keep his promise to Mama Rose?and by the journey's end, he is glad he did. Despite a fast pace, occasional flashes of Garwood's trademark humor, a nice prolog, and the intriguing secondary character One-Eyed Jack, the story is hampered by incomplete character development and a silly heroine. Readers looking for something comparable to Garwood's more substantive works (e.g., Saving Grace, Pocket, 1993) may be disappointed. Nevertheless, this is the first of three novellas that will focus on the Clayborne brothers and their romantic adventures. Garwood lives in Kansas.

Her books are awsome! She is one of the top romance writter in my book I have read 17 of Julie Garwood's novels and she astounds me every time I read a new one. I suggest if you want to read this book start with the book "For the Roses" then go onto read "One Pink Rose", "One white Rose", and "One Red Rose" and then read "Come the Spring" These books are all about the Claybourne family and how they strived to survive raising an abandoned baby that they found in New York and turning her into a lady. After their little Mary Rose is grown up and Married to a highland Lawyer named Harrison each brother is tempted by women into settling down will the brothers run or face the destiny that MAMA Rose tricks them into.

3.0étoiles sur 5 One pink, one white, and one red rose!, Janv. 22 2003

I thoroughly enjoyed For The Roses- and went straight to the library to find these three smaller books. Their length did not bother me. But they seemed a little shallow. I did enjoy the story for One White Rose. It's the best to me. The others seemed silly and unrealistic, especially One Red Rose. I am glad I read them because I would always have been curious about them. I do wish they have mentioned more of Mary Rose and Harrison.

I'm writing one review for all three of these wonderful "little" books. Too little! I would have loved to have more lengthy stories about all the brothers but each of these were very good. I was so thrilled to find out the saga would continue and J.G. didn't let me down!
