Book Description

Start your baby on a lifetime of healthy eating

Although ready-made commercial baby food may seem just as healthy and more convenient, the most nutritious meal you can give your baby is home-cooked with fresh, high-quality ingredients. Preparing your own baby food is quick, easy, and much more affordable than you think, and it is the best way to cultivate healthy eating habits in your infant or toddler.

Now fully revised and updated, The Healthy Baby Meal Planner will show you that making your own baby food can be as easy as picking up a fork and mashing a banana. Leading cookbook author Annabel Karmel explains which foods are appropriate for each stage of a child's development from infancy to age five, and shows how and when to introduce fruits, vegetables, and other solids into a child's diet. She also provides valuable advice on how to feed infants and how to make appealing meals for even the pickiest of eaters.

With more than 50,000 copies of the first edition sold, The Healthy Baby Meal Planner is the definitive resource for parents, complete with new and improved recipes, time-saving preparation tips, creative serving suggestions, and the latest information on food allergies and infant nutrition.

Ingram

This is the way to start babies off to a lifetime of healthy and happy eating. Focusing on what foods are appropriate for each stage of a child's development from infancy to age two, Karmel discusses the best first foods, how and when to introduce fruits, vegetables and other solid foods, tempting dishes for children who are sick, and more. 4-color drawings throughout.

5.0étoiles sur 5 this is my bible, Mai 4 2004
Par Audy B (London, UK) - Voir tous mes commentaires
This book takes new mums through the wonderful world of "solids", from carrot puree to cornflake-encrusted cod with cheddar and orange juice (it may sound odd, but my babe gobbled it up).
It's full of brilliant, fun and varied recipes (although Annabel Karmel does have a bit of a thing for sweet potato) and tips about introducing different foods and textures at the right time.
My copy is covered in cooking stains - need I say more?

5.0étoiles sur 5 My baby food Bible!, Avril 24 2004
I bought numerous baby cookbooks before coming across this one and by far this one is the best!! You don't have to be a professional chef to whip out some delicious and healthy dishes for your baby. Ingredients are basic and recipes are easy to follow. I feel so satisfied knowing that my baby is eating healthy, well- balanced meals. It's never too early to instill healthy eating habits. She loves the lentils and liver (yuk!) recipes. I found the meal planners so useful - although I didn't follow it completely - it gives you an idea of how to plan meals. My book is so thrashed from all the use it gets.
