This book was alright, but there were WAY too many inconsistencies within it and that in itself was irritating. For example, was the boy's school Rosewood or Rosedown? Was the headmistresses' name Ms. Ironwood or Ms. Ironside? Was the Jacqueline girl in their dorm nicknamed Jackie, Jacky or Jacki? Deborah Stewart, the stuck up student council girl and Susan Peck, the girl with the "hot" brother Jonathan became a hybrid "Deborah Peck" at Ruby's trial.
It's poor editing like this that bring the entire story down a notch. 3/5.

I didn't like this book it was to slow and was ridiculous [example:Gissle walking but not lifting a finger!]this book is so stupid!I only liked Ruby,Miss Stevens,Abby and the blind Guy which is why I gave it 2 stars , I'll give All That Glitters a shot because Ruby was so great!

I could relate to what Ruby went through while she was at boarding school. During my last year in college I had problems with my peers. Without taking my side of the story into consideration, the dean of students booted me out of the residence halls. He said I should just "bag it" if I was upset with anybody at all. He even said that nobody would want to be friends with me if I couldn't control my emotions. It's hard for anybody to control how he or she feels if he or she is being disliked without a just cause. I didn't deserve to be snubbed at all. This novel was the very first VC Andrews book I read. Ever since I could relate to the feeling of Ruby and the main characters of the novels I have been attached to the VC novels.
