Product Description

The sixth volume in the bestselling Resident Evil series published to coincide with the multi-million dollar live action film. A desperate search for her missing bother once again pits Claire Redfield against the terrifying bioweapons of the Umbrella Corporation. Her quest leads her to a remote island where a mad genius has unleashed every grotesque creature at his disposal to stop her from interfering with his horrific agenda. Catapulted to the bottom of the world, Claire is last reunited with the man she came to find. Chris Redfield has been fighting a one-man war of his own against Umbrella's most terrifying creations...and is now on a collision course with the man who betrayed the S.T.A.R.S. in Racoon City. A man who should, by all rights, be dead: Captain Albert Wesker.

4.0 out of 5 stars My Review, Jan 12 2004
By chris barker (Boise, ID USA) - See all my reviews
I've read all of the books in the resident evil series by S.D. Perry and own a lot of the resident evil games. But this book definitely stands out. It gives the reader an awesome perspective of all the character's emotions. Like Alfred Ashford who is in the book like obsessed with his Twin sister Alexia and Perry gives an excellent description of how little by little Alfred starts to snap over his sister. I guess it'd be pretty hard not to snap when you grow up watching your family perfrom horrible test on other humans to find the ultimate bio weapon. She also gives detail to the fact that Alfred is also a sick human being and how when a guard did something wrong when he was little or Alfred and his sister just didn't like the guy. they would numb him with drugs and stick needles in his sides.... All in all i really enjoyed this book and thought Perry did an excellent job!!!

5.0 out of 5 stars A great book!!!, July 22 2003
By A Customer
As soon as I saw it, I thought " I have to have this book". I liked it. It tells what the characters are thinking which was never in the games unless there's a cinema movie part. It was a little short on Chris'and Wesker's part, It was pretty much like that in the game. It does reveal more of Alexia and Alfred too. I loved the parts with Steve and Claire, they were cute.(Cuz Steve and Claire are my favorite characters and they make a cute couple) I think they were in love more in the book, cuz in the game Steve was in love with Claire and that was it. I wish Steve hadn't died in the game and book. I hope he does come back like Wesker did. Anyway, I can't wait for more novels, and this was the best!

3.0 out of 5 stars mmm...zombies., May 18 2003

(REAL NAME)
Don't be confused by the low rating. I liked this book, I really did. It gave you a little bit of insight on how the characters in the game were thinking. It was pretty true to the game, but I wouldn't recommend reading this book, or any in the series, if you have the intention of playing the games at some point. Reading book then playing the game is a no-no. It will ruin the unmatched expeirence of the games.
Resident Evil-wise, the book was decent.
Book wise, it was just a very long fanfiction put into book format. The writer has a style that reminds me of a teenage fanboy (or girl), but somehow it works for her. Read this if you have nothing better to do in an afternoon. You probably won't want to put it down.
