Product Description

From Library Journal

Caeled, star of Silverhand (Baen, 1995), possesses two magical artifacts that allow him to affect events but cause him to age with every use. Joined by three companions who hate the despotic twins who rule the world, Caeled seeks the remaining two Arcana artifacts that he will use to restore order to the world. A morality tale about how much power one can have and whether to use it that belongs in most fantasy collections.

1.0 out of 5 stars Horrible As well, Aug 31 2001
By A Customer
Au contraire, Pablo. I beg the authors not to finish it! After reading Silverlight, I thought that I might as well read the sequel. Have you ever heard of something called vomit? That's what I felt like doing when I read this! This is everything that I said about Silverhand (I am the same Reader from Somewhere), times 1,263! This book should be put right next to Silverhand in a locked safe, in a locked safe, in yet another locked safe! Bleh! This book is bad!

1.0 out of 5 stars No exclaimation, Jun 12 2001
While it's sad that there is no follow up book, there's probably a reason. The reason is probably that this is the worst thing I have ever seen with Morgan Llywelyn's name on it (Sorry, never read Michael Scott before). She is one of my favourite authors and EVERYTHING else by her that I have read has been magnificent. This repetive plot of boy designated by prophesy must save the world has become tiresome. The Wheel of Time has stretched into oblivion, with the Sword of Truth following afterwards, and it was done 30 years ago with Star Wars. The writer also repeats passages over and over, almost as if to drag the reader out of their sleep and remind tham what they reading. While these passages are appreciated at the start of a sequel, I only want to hear ONCE per book that Gwynne lost her family and is so sad etc etc. Anyway, I highly suggest Llywelyn's other works (Bard, Druids, Finn MacCool, The Red Branch, The Horse Goddess) but The Arcana Series isn't even worth half-price book cost.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great!
I loved the first one and the second one was great, but I can't believe they aren't going to do a third one. I loved the book, but am really angry at the authors.
