From Library Journal

Although McNaught's hardcover debut, Paradise , was "improbable" ( LJ 7/91), credulous romance fans made it a best seller. Here, a young Scottish woman dotes on a shipwrecked sailor.

Product Description

New York Times bestselling author Judith McNaught sweeps readers from the wilds of America to elegant 1820s London in this unforgettable romantic adventure.

A teacher in a school for wealthy young ladies, Sheridan, Bromleigh is hired to accompany one of her students, heiress Charise Lancaster, to England to meet her fiancé. When her charge elopes with a stranger, Sheridan wonders how she will ever explain it to Charise's intended, Lord Burleton.

Standing on the pier, Stephen Westmoreland, the Earl of Langford, assumes the young woman coming toward him is Charise Lancaster -- and informs her of his inadvertent role in a fatal accident involving Lord Burleton the night before. And just as Sheridan is about to speak, she steps into the path of a cargo net loaded with crates!

Sheridan awakens in Westmoreland's mansion with no memory of who she is; the only hint of her past is the puzzling fact that everyone calls her Miss Lancaster. All she truly knows is that she is falling in love with a handsome English earl, and that the life unfolding before her seems full of wondrous possibilities... --Ce texte provient de la Mass Market Paperback édition.

3.0étoiles sur 5 disappointing, Avril 23 2004
Par Un client
This review is from: Until You (Mass Market Paperback)
There are more than 100 reviews already for this book but I had to share my take on it because I was kind of disappointed with this one. It does not have the same depth as other McNaught stories. The book also seemed overcrowded with appearance of too many previous characters. After reading about them in intense stories I personally found it hard to accept them in merely supporting roles.

5.0étoiles sur 5 Go Judith McNaught!, Fév 5 2004
Par Jo (Sri Lanka) - Voir tous mes commentaires
This review is from: Until You (Audio Cassette)
Wow! This book was amazing and the first that i've read of Judith McNaught's! I simply couldn't put it down and even once i finished it, i was drawn back to it to re-read what i could! Stephen is great and Sherry is wonderful. The whole book is so great. I hope the other books are as good. I now plan on reading Kindgom of Dreams, which has also been very highly rated (ppl told me it is better than Until You though i can't imagine it just yet!) and Whitney, My Love. Whoever out there who hasn't read a Judith McNaught you really don't know WHAT you are missing out on!

5.0étoiles sur 5 Gets You On 2 Levels, Janv. 29 2004
Par lgbdx3 (VA heartland) - Voir tous mes commentaires
This review is from: Until You (Mass Market Paperback)
I expected to be disappointed in this story after reading some of the reviews. I actually liked it very well. It does seem, upon reflection, that there was less 1:1 interaction between Stephen & Sherry in this story (not sure if that is my imagination or not), but I still came away with my normal sore heart after reading one of this JM series. I think it's the intensity of her characters' anger, at the crisis points, that shadows my heart for days after they have patched things up.

When I say this story gets you on 2 levels it is because, if you have read all the predecessor stories to this, there is the melancholy awareness that you are watching your favorite characters take a final curtain call in this story. It is quite touching to see everyone come together to help Stephen find HIS happiness and allow us to also remember their stories. I am only surprised that somehow Ian & Elizabeth were left out cause it seems everyone else takes a bow. Kinda chokes me up.
