Product Description

From Amazon.com

When the Normans invade and sweep across Saxon England in 1066, lovely Aislinn of Darkenwald watches her father murdered outside her home. Wulfgar, the Iron Wolf of Normandy, arrives to rule Darkenwald, and one look at Aislinn leads him to claim her as his own. She hates the Norman conquering forces, but Wulfgar awakens a consuming passion in her that she can't deny. As she struggles with her growing love for Wulfgar, she does what she can to aid her conquered people and her bereaved mother. But a jealous lord conspires with Wulfgar's spoiled half-sister and Aislinn's very life is threatened before Wulfgar can admit that the woman he conquered has in truth, conquered his heart. This beloved historical romance deserves a special place on the shelves of millions of romance readers and shouldn't be missed.

5.0 out of 5 stars My Heart Melts!, Feb 19 2005
By Randi (Thornhill, Ontario Canada) - See all my reviews
I have read The Wolf and the Dove so many times, I can't even keep track of the number! Everytime I read it, my heart just melts as the drama unfolds for Aislinn. Her stoic calm, pride and bravery is heartbreaking. I love this book! This is by far Kathleen Woodiwiss's best piece ever. Bravo!

3.0 out of 5 stars long winded, Jun 30 2004
Enjoyed the story very much, but pages dragged on that could have been summed-up in paragraphs. I'd like to try this author again, have another of her books in my to-be-read pile, I just haven't found the time yet.

If you're looking for an interesting historical romance (though frustrating at times) try this on a raining day.

5.0 out of 5 stars One of the Best I have ever read., Jun 8 2004
By Sheena B. "Sab" (North Dakota) - See all my reviews
This book I believe is one of the best that's if you like love. I read this book and I fell in love with it. It's a story of getting over but not forgetting the past and going on. Through tough times and feelings that confuse she fights for her people and her mother and herself. Never giving in even when the impossiable comes she keeps her faith! The new lord of the land will fall in love with her and her with him for a story for the books!
You don't have to believe me but what I write is what I feel and if you feel as though I do I would suggest that you read this because I know you would be very pleased and would want to buy it as I have.
