Product Description
This book is a life-size atlas of the anatomy of the foot, ankle and lower limb, based on colour photographs of all relevant bones, with serial dissections of the soft parts, radiographs and surface anatomy features. The new edition has a different, more user-friendly format, with increased illustration and content. The illustration has been increased to include 28 new and replacement dissections, 10 radiographs and MR images and 12 colour line drawings. The contents have been expanded to include more surface anatomy of the lower limb, to demonstrate anaesthesia/analgesia and nerve block points, an area of special interest to podiatrists and orthopaedic surgeons. There is also more emphasis on the joints and their function. There are more and longer notes, but the most important new textual feature is commentary which accompanies all illustrations. This explains features of particular importance, both anatomically and functionally, and gives guidance on what is shown in the dissections and images. The changes are designed to enhance the quality and maintain the primacy of the atlas. There is still no other atlas available which offers so much detailed anatomical information on this region.
