Product Description

Set during the American Civil War, this is the story of Kiernan and her love for two brothers, David and Jesse. Friends from childhood, they are seperated by the war, as David fights for the Confederacy while Jesse fights for the Union. Kiernan cannot forgive Jesse, even though she loves him.

Ingram

Proud Southerner Kiernan McKay is horrified when Jesse Cameron--with whom she has planned a future of marriage bliss--declares his intention to fight for the Union army, and as the Civil War rages on, she tries to cast her traitorous lover from her heart.

5.0 out of 5 stars One of the best...., Dec 29 2003
By lilbum1 "lilbum1" (Clarksville, TN USA) - See all my reviews
I absolutely love this book. It was the first of Heather Graham that I read. The conflict and personal war between Jesse and Kiernan is so intense and amazing. She is a strong woman with her own mind and convictions. Kiernan does not have to depend on any man because she can stand on her own two feet. Jesse is the exceptional man with strong beliefs and honor.

Definitely a keeper. Great story, never a dull moment, lots of love. I agree there's nothing like a good civil war story with love mixed in. And this one is a powerful one to read. Don't pass it up! I am now looking forward to getting
