Book Description
William Warren was born in 1898 with an unusual gift - a gift most of us would probably refuse to accept. Even from a great distance, he could sense when those he loved were in pain. Most of us, with such an unpleasant paranormal gift, would push it to one side very early in life, but William had a good reason for retaining and using it. His gift would guide his actions through his youth, through World War I and through the rest of his life.
About the Author
Timothy O'Reagan is a pseudonym. The author is a research scientist who prefers to keep his hobbies separate from his profession. There is a legitimate scientific debate as to whether or not certain people can sense emotional states in others without being present. This issue is not really debated in Triste. William Warren, the principle character in Triste, simply possesses this ability. Whether or not you believe such an ability is realistic, Timothy O'Reagan gives you the opportunity to explore both the gracious benefits and the horrific costs of such a gift.
