I had gotten this book because I had lost the one I had, but having ordered from Amazon before, I knew I would get it quite fast. Their service is quite efficient, and the prices are the same. I know I will shop here again...:)

Another excerpt from the weird life of Odd Thomas, Fry cook extraordinaire. Koontz's style of befriending the characters to the reader and totally involving us emotionally in the story is alive and well in the Odd Thomas series. This time Odd's friend is kidnapped, but he's only the bait! Odd must rely on his psychic magnetism to find his friend and save everyone before it's too late!
Keep them coming!

I love generally enjoy Dean Koontz's writing, but this didn't seem to be of the same calibre as his normal offerings. I found this installment of Odd's story dark and actually a little boring. Don't get me wrong, I eagerly anticipate reading the next sequel, but this one doesn't get much of a nod from me.
