Grade 4-7–The leader of the Great Christmas Council, one Gerold Geronimus Goblynch, has outlawed all of the old, magical ways. Snowmobiles have replaced reindeer, elves and angels are banned, and noncompliant Santas are turned into chocolate. Niklas Goodfellow is the last real Santa. He and his ramshackle companions–two fat angels named Matilda and Emmanuel, an invisible reindeer, and a bunch of foulmouthed elves (steaming reindeer poo!)–are hiding from the Council. Luckily, local children Ben and Charlotte and Charlotte's dog, Mutt, join forces to save Niklas from a chocolatey fate. Funke's holiday fantasy, originally published in Germany in 1994, appeals on many levels and is surprisingly fresh. Howard's charming drawings, many full page, add just the right touch. Author Cornelia Funke (INKHEART) reads this fantastical Christmas fable capably in her German-accented voice, sounding smoky and confiding (and a little like Lena Olin). One of the last "true" santas, Niklas Goodfellow, crash-lands in a small town, and his invisible, marzipan-loving reindeer, Twinklestar, goes missing. Lonely kids Ben and Charlotte learn his identity, help save him from giant nutcrackers, and discover some real Christmas magic. Funke gives distinguishing voices to many of the characters, particularly Niklas's comical entourage-- plump angels Matilda and Emmanuel and a caravan full of wee grumbly elves. When Santa Fell To Earth

Here is a very short summary of the story When Santa Fell To Earth. One day Santa and his reindeer go out for a round. When they went to ride out side and a big storm caught them. They were thunder and lightning. They wanted to go back when a lightning goes through the reins of the reindeer. When the lightning touched the rein Santa fell to earth. That is how Santa fell to earth but what will happen on earth? Ill let you read the story to now.


My opinion on the book is 4 on 5. It was excellent I really like it but the only fault is that there is some part that we dont care of but except this is excellent. But the faults happen about 3 times in the book so its good. So this is my opinion 3 stars on 5 stars.


The more important Character is Ben. Let me talk about him. In the story his roll is to go to school every day. Ben has difficulty to expire what he thinks, now or even feel. He has a lot of difficulty in Math. At school everyone call him Pea-brain. And he is the first child in the entire world that saw Santa or the first one but not the last one.
