Do believe that Jonathan Marosz has narrated all of Harlan Coben's novels featuring Myron Bolitar - lucky for us! Just as Coben's hero is quick with repartee Marosz is quick to capture the personality Coben has created. This voice performer manages to mix mirth with mayhem and render a highly listenable story. His reading is smooth, precise, very easy on the ears.

As many will recall Bolitar is a man of much experience - a former attorney, basketball star, and now a sports agent. The setting for Drop Shot is the U.S. Open, and the score is most definitely not love.

Valerie Simpson, once a promising tennis player is ready to return to the courts, and she wants Bolitar to represent her. He already has one client, Duane Richwood, a young man who looks like he may come away with a grand slam. That is until Valerie is found murdered and Duane is high on the suspect list.

Of course, Bolitar begins to investigate Valerie's death in order to clear his client - not too tough as Duane was on the court when she was killed. Soon, a man who was seen with her shortly before her death is arrested. But, you know Bolitar, he can't stop probing, and the surprises are in what he finds.

I read this book in one day, and it was great. But at this point I expect as much from Harlan Coben. Drop Shot was not as excellent as Deal Breaker, and I had the ending figured out before Myron. But none the less it is still an exciting, suspensful, and funny novel. I recommend it. And I have already picked up Myron's next adventure, the Edgar award winning Fade Away. I can't wait to get started.
If you pick up this book, which you should, enjoy! :)

Harlan Coben's books are always good. They keep you guessing till the very end. Myron Bolitar is a sports agent who will do anything to help his client even if it is not in their contract. In this book Myron helps his Tennis star Duanne Richardson. Duanne is a suspect in the murder of Valerie Simpson. Myron goes and investigates the murder of Valerie and what he finds he does not like. This book has humour, suspense, mystery and everything in it to make a great book. I liked this book even though I am 12. I would not recommend it for children though it has things that could be considered questionable.
