1.0 out of 5 stars Disgusting!, Jun 16 2004
By "childofgod14" (Boyertown, PA (USA)) - See all my reviews
I love Lori Wick's books and I loved the beginning of this book. Then Rebecca, who obviously didn't love Travis at all, leaves. I was thinking it would only be for a few weeks but she has the twins and stays there for 6 years! Her children become spoiled and she doesn't even think about Travis! I couldn't even finish the book! It was horrible!

4.0 out of 5 stars Good at points, bad at points., Jan 2 2003
By A Customer
The first point was very unexpected. I noticed that some events that happened in Book 1 also occurred in Book 2. When I think of a series, I think it is a continuous story. But, I will see what the other books in this series have to offer. There are also some slow times in this book, especially in Pine Grove. But, they are critical to the book because they let you in on feelings of Rebecca and Travis. I also didn't care for the ending too much. I was expecting something dramatic. The ending left several points open - will they be covered in the next book or will the next book have some of the same special events like Book 2 did after Book 1? Overall, it was a good book with a fairly happy ending.

5.0 out of 5 stars Loved It!, Oct 5 2002
By A Customer
I absolutely loved this book even though there was one part I really didn't care for. That shows how much I enjoyed it. I believe Lori overdid it in the middle when Rebecca was raising the twins and was still apart from Travis, although I did feel it was quite cleverly written. I truly enjoyed reading and seeing how Rebecca changed and grew as a person after she returned home to Travis. I do highly recommend this. It is truly one of a kind.

Where The Wild Rose Blooms is an excellent book, but this book was very disappointing to me. It dragged on and on. I really didn't like Rebecca at all, she seemed so spoiled. Read more

2.0 out of 5 stars Not Wick's best work
The storyline was entertaining enough, but hardly believable. Wick has much better work than this--don't waste your time on Travis & Rebecca.
