It's Not Easy Being Green

At first it seems amusing when Kyle Valenti's skin takes on a lime-colored hue. But within hours, the hospital has become a disaster area, full of humans who look more like aliens than the real "Scandinavian" occupants of Roswell. Soon, Maria and Alex have joined the club, and Max decides to use his powers to return them to normal. Except his healing touch apparently doesn't work when the trouble is cosmetic, and not life-threatening.

While the military forces the colored population into top secret quarantine camps, Liz searches for a scientific explanation and finds a familiar culprit -- and a new sense of urgency. Within forty-eight hours, this alien contaminant will change the humans' skin permanently, leaving the humans green...and Max, Michael, and Isabel unveiled.

4.0 out of 5 stars A great story and a quick read., Jul 6 2003
This was really a more comical installment to the series of Roswell novels. Everyone turning green really makes for some funny moments in the story. The authors also really did their homework with the characters, using almost all of them very effectively in the story (with the exception of Isabel, who is stuck in a quarantine zone and just sits around watching the green people). It showed the group as a team, working together to solve the problem, which is linked back to events from an episode of Roswell that takes place before the events of this book. All in all, a fun story and an enjoyable book to read. I highly recommend it to my fellow Roswell fans.

4.0 out of 5 stars That Was No Lime-Ade - That Was My Wife!, Sep 11 2002
By Bruce Rux (Aurora, CO) - See all my reviews
Nothing extraordinary, here - this book is a quick, breezy, easy read - but it does catch the style, tone and characters of the T.V. series extremely well. In fact, it reads like nothing more than one of the show's better-written episodes.

When a substantial number of Roswell's population abruptly begin turning green, right before onlooker's eyes, you have to know the military is going to quickly surmise that some kind of diabolical germ warfare agent is at work and quarantine those affected. Roswell's resident aliens seem to be completely unaffected by the outbreak - even if some of their close friends in the know are stricken - but it goes without saying that this green-skinned madness has something to do with their otherworldly presence, and they know it. Max, Isabel, Michael and their alien-sympathizing friends have to find the solution within forty-eight hours, or not only will the afflicted locals remain green for the rest of their lives, but the military's investigations are sure to intensify and turn up the alien cause of this bizarre plague...and that will lead straight to our otherwise well-concealed alien trio.

Fans of the series will love it. Newcomers will be entertained.

5.0 out of 5 stars the population of roswell green? oh my!!!!, Jun 19 2002
By tammy (chicago, il United States) - See all my reviews
when kyle turns up green, the gang thinks this is really funny.
but within a couple of hours, maria and alex and half of roswell
are also green. the army is called in to quarintine the city against this disease and it is up to liz to find a cure. what she
finds in that if the cure is not found and given to the people in
48 hours, they will become permantly green. this book has the whole gang racing against the clock to solve the problem and even
gives tess a good part in all of it. the book could have been a
little more suspenseful though. it has a nice ideal but it was
not carried through enough for me. but if you are a fan of roswell, and you are like me, we will take what we can get considering that the show has been cancelled for good.

The book actually isn't half bad.... it's more of a fun read though. Sometimes it tended to lag, espicaially near the end. Read more
