Product Description

For seven tumultuous years, the U.S.S. Voyager™ has explored the Delta Quadrant, encountering strange alien civilizations and bizarre space-time anomalies as it steadfastly made its way back toward the safety of Federation space. Captain Kathryn Janeway and her heroic crew have faced all manner of harrowing danger and hostile life-forms -- including the Kazons, the Borg, and the Q -- while never losing sight of their ultimate goal: home. Now, at last, Voyager's epic trek may be nearing its end...

After so many perilous and astounding adventures, will Captain Janeway finally bring her wayward starship back to the Alpha Quadrant? And what will become of her diverse yet tightly knit crew? Will Chakotay, B'Elanna Torres, and the other former Maquis freedom fighters face long-delayed justice for their crimes against the Federation? And is there any place in Starfleet for the uniquely independent Borg known as Seven of Nine?

As the ultimate destiny of Voyager is revealed, all that is certain is that nothing will ever be the same!

4.0étoiles sur 5 Is it the End or the Beginning, Janv. 2 2004
Par "zonajon" (Glendale, AZ United States) - Voir tous mes commentaires
First off, I will tell you that I am a big Star Trek Fan. I have seen every episode of TNG and DS9 and just about every episode of Voyager (with the exception of Endgame). I was out of the country when it came on and I have never caught it in syndication. Thus, Endgame was an important book for me. I purchased the Ebook from Amazon and read it in less than 1 day.

The book starts out 26 years from Voyager's being catapulted by the Caretaker from the Alpha Quadrant. "Admiral" Janeway sends herself back in time (with a little help from her friends) to their seventh year in the Delta Quadrant. After much debate as to whether or not Captain Janeway (the same person 20 years earlier) should take the admiral's recommended course of action, the admiral and the captain compromise suiting both personalities. Of course, the end is fairly easy to predict, although the journey is definitely interesting.

The detail was great. The explanation of the interpersonal relationships was very good. There should have been more borg interaction. The lack of borg participation makes it very unbelievable that it was that easy to defeat them in battle. I guess what I am saying is -- more action less drama would have been nice.

The ebook comes with a three (3) chapter preview of Homecoming. A nice bonus and ready to download the next book.

My only gripe with Endgame (and Star Trek in general) is time travel in the star trek universe is becoming a bit overused. It's a little too convenient - and becomes an all too easy way of overcoming problems.

Enjoy!

4.0étoiles sur 5 A good finale......., Mars 15 2003
Par Un client
I found this a great book. It had a ceative idea, and it was transferred from the TV episode to the book very well. I also like how it shows that there is more to the story. (In the next book, homecoming)But I found the relationship between Seven of Nine and Chakotay dissappointing, since throughout the series, he's seemed to have chemestrey with Janeway. But that didn't nearly ruin the book. It's a great finale that any Star Trek: Voyager fan should read!

1.0étoiles sur 5 Not really worth the Money, Nov. 7 2002
Par M. E. Newell (Marietta, Georgia, United States) - Voir tous mes commentaires
(REAL NAME)
I have always been a fan of novelization of show or movies because I think that the novel enriches the story, but the case of the novelization of Endgame just is not worth the money. The book did nothing to add on to the of Star Trek Voyager last show. The writing of Diane Carey is usually very good, but in this case it like she just copy from the script. The ONLY reason someone may want to buy it is get a preview of the up coming book "Homecoming" by Christie Golden. Beside this I can't see any reason in purchasing the book.
