Book Description

Lady Brenna MacAlister harbored no illusions that her husband, a quick-tempered highland laird, was in love with her. How could he be enamored of his bride when, on their wedding day, he had assured her that she could return to her home in England as soon as she had given him a son?

Marrying Connor MacAlister had been an impulsive act for Brenna. But MacAlister and his warriors, a savage-looking band who had captured her and her party en route to her arranged marriage with another, offered precious few alternatives. Now, after a hasty forest wedding, they were man and wife. Although Brenna grows to adore her brave, gentle husband, she has no clue that Connor lives for the moments she whispers "I love you." But when a rival laird strikes out at the MacAlisters, she knows that only her faith in her gallant mate can save her....

A dazzling romantic adventure, The Wedding is another unforgettable tale from the incomparable Julie Garwood. --This text refers to an out of print or unavailable edition of this title.

5.0 out of 5 stars Turn the Pages Over Again, Jul 11 2008

(REAL NAME)
This is a terrific addition to "The Bride". Connor and Brenna are a fabulous match with completely captivating character development. At times, you lose your train of thought trying to keep up with Brenna's...but that's only because you become so engrossed. Lively and lovely, I have kept this book and read it over and over.

5.0 out of 5 stars LyndaK, Jul 9 2008
By Lynda K "lyndak" (BURLINGTON, ONTARIO Canada) - See all my reviews
I saw a few reviews that rated this book as less than 5 stars and I am sure they must have read a different book. This book is one of my keepers and one of the few books that had me laughing at some of the scenes. I will occasionally re-read some of my "favourite" books and I fall in love with Brenna and Connor's story each time. I've had this book for years and I know one day I will revisit them again.

5.0 out of 5 stars There Should Be More!!!!!, Jul 16 2004
By Mandy Tirrell (Alexandria, LA USA) - See all my reviews
I think the book was excellent. The first one was just as great. This book had me laughing and crying and sighing. The heated romance with Connor and Brenna is wonderful. I think there should be another one, though. It should have Quinlan and Faith. The way they act in the end of The Wedding it just is begging for there to be a book with them. Connor and Brenna were so passionate with eachother and they just couldn't tell what they felt to eachother.

Garwood is one of my favorite romance authors. I'm absolutely devastated that she wandered from the path of historical romance. Read more
