Ruby's teacher asks Ruby and Yasmin to look after a new girl at school. Her name is Lauren, and it is not long before she manages to upset the uneasy equilibrium between the two best friends. Ruby resents the way Yasmin often waltzes off, leaving her to entertain the extremely shy Lauren. Meanwhile, back home Ruby is under pressure to accept Tiffany as brother Joe's girlfriend, not least because Holly seems to have got together with another boy. About the Author
Sue's writing career started with various assignments for magazines and newspapers, and her first radio work, Big and Little, which won a Sony Award for Best Children's Programme. Other radio projects have included the series Up the Garden Path, The Wordsmiths at Gorsemere, and The Sit-Crom. Up the Garden Path was adapted by Sue for television and three series were produced . It started off Sue's first novel, followed soon after by a sequel, Love's Labours. Sue's children's books include Big and Little, China Lee, Me Jane, Big Trouble and Mr Loopy and Mrs Snoopy. Come Back Grandma was shortlisted for the Smarties Prize. Sue lives on a remote organic farm in Gloucestershire.
