3.0 out of 5 stars The ending ruined the book, Sep 3 2007

I was totally enjoying this book. The supense was far fetched but kept me reading. It was almost like Linda was told that she had to finish the book now!!!! The ending is missing a certain closure, very unsatisfying.

2.0 out of 5 stars Losing her touch, Jul 21 2007
By craz4books (Brantford, ON) - See all my reviews
I was so excited to read this book that I saved it for my holidays. It was the most disappointing book I've read in a long time. There are so many unanswered questions and gaps in the story. The whole romantic sub-plot was weak and seemed rushed and forced. Linda Howard is still one of my favorite authors and I'm hoping that this isn't a preview of what's to come from her. If she could just get back to writing like dying to please, and cry no more then I'd be a happy reader.

3.0 out of 5 stars Pretty disappointing for Linda Howard, Oct 17 2006
By kathleen Ilott "Kathy" (whistler, British Columbia Canada) - See all my reviews

I was eagerly anticipating this new book and was really disappointed. It had a terrible ending and just not enough substance in the book to keep me interested. I also found it VERY unbelievable. Of course, not every book is based on reality, but seriously, this was just a little far fetched. I will wait for her new book and hope it is a lot better.

3.0 out of 5 stars Not her best but still good
I am HUGE Linda Howard fan, but I thought this book was not one of her best. I found that although I loved the two main characters, the storyline was predictable. Read more
