EVENTS:March and April will see Catrin Collier criss-crossing Wales with a series of signing events to promote HOMECOMING. Catrin will be visiting a number of stores including: WHSMITH Merthyr Tydfil, WHSMITH Pontypridd (twice), WHSMITH Llanelli, WHSMITH Caerphilly, WHSMITH Swansea, THE NEITH BOOKSHOP, THEPORTHCAWL BOOKSHOP, THE ABERGAVENNY BOOKSHOP, THE MONMOUTH BOOKSHOP, THE WELLFIELD BOOKSHOP (Cardiff), MERLINS BOOKSHOP (Newport), OTTAKARS Aberbavenny and OTTAKARS Carmarthan, WATERSTONES Cardiff and WATERSTONES Swansea. Catrin will be signing copies of HOMECOMING and the other titles in the Swansea trilogy at the opening of the new BORDERS in Swansea on 14 March, and before this will be at OXFAM in Swansea for their Fairtrade and Red Nose Day event day. Catrin will also being talking at Llandeilo Library on 28 February, and at theAmman Valley writers workshop on 8 March 03. NEWSPAPERS:Catrin Collier is being interviewed by WALES ON SUNDAY, SOUTH WALES EVENING POST, SOUTH WALES ECHO and the KENT MESSENGER GROUP and so far reviews of HOMECOMING have been confirmed in SOUTH WALES ARGUS, CARDIFF POST SERIES, CAMBRIA (the national magazine for Wales) and ONEWALES. THE SUN may be interested in a health feature with Catrin. Tbc. MAGAZINES:CHOICE MAGAZINE will be featuring an interview withCatrin Collier in their April 03 edition and WRITING MAGAZINE are also publishing an interview with Catrin in their June/July issue - out in May. RADIO:Catrin referred to her interview on BBC Radio NEWCASTLE's Julia Hankin Show on12 March 03 as "probably the best I've had in ten years of book promotion". She will be interviewed on BBC Radio KENT's Jonathan Witchell show on Mother's Day (30 March 03) and HOMECOMING will be 'Book of the Week' on The Arts Programme, BBC Radio CAMBRIDGESHIRE, this will include a competition. Product Description
It is January 1957 and Helen's husband Jack returns from National Service. Happy to be reunited, they resume their life together with their friends. Then Helen is utterly shattered when Jack tells her that a brief fling with a sergeant's widow has left the woman pregnant. Helen can't have children, so this is more than she can bear. She starts divorce proceedings, but their fierce love for each other cannot be extinguished. Finally she has to make a decision which requires courage, but could be the answer to their differences.
