4.0 out of 5 stars Strategy Guide Makes Up For Crummy "Instruction" Booklet, May 29 2003
By David J Candy - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
This book is a necessity to succesfully find one's way through the game scenes.

I got stuck at the cocktail party, unable to take photographs of the women - because the vague instruction booklet that comes with the game isn't that helpful and I had no clue that I actually had a cigarette lighter camera on hand to use... or how to use it, if I had known.

2.0 out of 5 stars Helps find some secrets, good overview of online gaming, April 20 2003
By The Rectifier (Harrisburg, PA United States) - See all my reviews
I have the PC version and was hoping this guide would be a bit more explicit about some points. For instance, I spent probably 15 minutes and gave up on the grappling hook - after reading the book. I had to play around with it on a separate occasion to realize you have to HOLD DOWN the mouse button until you wish to release from the hook! The guide apparently took for granted that you would need to "fire" this tool differently than most of the others...

I actually did better my first time through the first level on my own than when I tried to go through and find the secrets. After playing through a few more times because I enjoyed the shooting so much, I have improved my score minimally thanks to the guide.

It does seem to have some good tips for the online play - I haven't had time to try that yet, but looks like a lot of fun!

4.0 out of 5 stars Shaken, not stirred, Mar 10 2003
By A Customer
This book was very informative and I probably wouldn't have beat the game without it. Of course, it left out some major parts that I had to figure it out by myself. But overall, it was really cool!!

2.0 out of 5 stars Not really useful...
The only reason I bought this is because I bought the game with this which gave me 20% off on the guide. Read more
