A multi-talented artist, Cheri Bladholm works as a full-time illustrator whose art has appeared in numerous Focus on the Family publications, as well as on books from Bethany, Tommy Nelson, Chariot-Victor, and Dynamots. Her first picture book, Lass, written by Phillip Keller, was a 1998 ECPA Gold Medallion Finalist.
Making Memories represents a collaboration with a friend in France, whose photographic portraits provided the inspiration for the characters in the picture book. The background farmstead is based on an actual piece of land in the artist's home state of New York.
