This review is from: People of the Nightland (Mass Market Paperback)
This is my second book in the First Peoples series, the first being People of the Wolf. I am attempting to read them roughly in chronological order based on the time the book takes place, not the time of release. People of the Wolf was the first written, while this one came much later.

I must say, the leaps and bounds the authors have made in their writing skills between Wolf and Nightland is amazing. Gone are the superfluous characters; every character in this book has a purpose and is interesting. The characters are given more depth. The story has more moving pieces. Less time is spent talking about what will happen next, and more is spent trying to keep up with what's actually happening.

I am very glad that, after finishing People of the Wolf, I was intrigued enough to continue reading this series. This book has made me even more excited to continue reading it.

Well paced, entertaining, with enjoyable characters, this book is definitely a keeper.
