Book Description

Veronica St. John is facing the challenge of a lifetime. The media consultant has two days to teach a rugged Navy SEAL to impersonate a European prince who has been targeted by terrorists. It's a tough assignment, but Veronica is sure she's up to the task -- until she actually meets Joe.

Despite his physical resemblance to the handsome prince, Lieutenant Joe Catalanofto is nothing like the stuffy aristocrat. Everything about the combat-hardened Navy SEAL -- from the arrogant gleam in his eyes and streetwise attitude to the New York accent -- says regular guy, not royalty. One conversation and Veronica knows nothing could turn this military man into nobility. Joe, on the other hand, is confident he's got what it takes to complete his duty.

But neither of them expects their assignment to include falling in love . . . --This text refers to an out of print or unavailable edition of this title.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent read! ..., Dec 8 2007

This review is from: Prince Joe (Mass Market Paperback)
Prince Joe by Suzanne Brockmann
Silhouette Intimate Moments # 720 - June 1996

Joe aka Joe Cat is in command of Alpha Squad. They get the dirtiest and most dangerous jobs. During Desert Storm they are ordered into Baghdad to retrieve an errant Prince of an obscure European country. When coming face to face with the Prince Tedric, Joe is shocked to find that it's like looking into a mirror. Now years later, the Prince is in the US on tour and there are threats on his life. Joe is ordered to play the Prince's double, much to his distaste. Because of the Prince's stupidity, one of Joe's team members is now permanently disabled. Veronica came to know and later work for the Prince, through the Prince's sister Princess Wila. She's the media consultant in charge of making sure everything goes smoothly on the tour. It's also now her job to see that Joe learns about the Prince and royal protocol, so that the public and the terrorists will be fooled by Joe's impersonation. But Veronica feels its a losing battle. It's impossible to teach this arrogant Bronx New Yorker any fine manners. Ronnie and Joe have a blast getting in each other's faces

Excellent read! ... I like the slow build up in their relationship. Though the attraction is there from the start, their feelings take time to grow giving us the chance to get to know Ronnie and Joe. The story holds lots of action and suspense. Great romance!

4.0 out of 5 stars Romantic Times Review, April 13 2004

This review is from: Prince Joe (Mass Market Paperback)
June Intimate Moments leads off with PRINCE JOE (4.5), a firecracker of a love story by Suzanne Brockmann. A handsome Navy S.E.A.L. impersonates a foreign prince to help trap a gang of terrorists and falls in love with the beautiful image consultant whose job is to drill him in royal protocol. Not only is the suspense nail-bitingly intense, the blistering passion and emotional sensitivity make this a love story you'll put in your treasure chest.

5.0 out of 5 stars from the arrogant gleam in his eyes to his New York accent.., Sep 15 2003
By janlouise (Ruston, LA United States) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Prince Joe (Mass Market Paperback)
Joe's got it! Boy, does he. Joe is well-liked, good at what he does (in fact he is one of the best), and it's all wrapped up in a good-lookin' package (or body) too. And he is in demand... because he just so happens to look like the Ustanzian prince whose life is in danger of terrorist while visiting the USA. It is decided to do a switch with the prince and Navy Seals Lieutenant Joe Catalanofto - only with the help of the prince's aide Veronica St.John. Hopefully after working with Veronica, Joe can learn the prince's aristocratic ways of living, take his place for the next couple of weeks and discover who is making threats of the prince's life. This will be no easy task! Due to Joe being confident and cocky, sparks fly when Veronica and Joe first meet making working conditions difficult. But they must work with their assignment which means they will be working closely together. Very Close together! Will Joe be able to pull it off? Will Joe and Veronica pull together?

Like some of the other reviewers I found the story simple at times, but I got caught up in it and enjoyed it. It was interesting reading about the seals and their dedication and the relationship between Joe and Veronica was cute and sweet. It's a recommended read by me!
