In The Previous Book, "A Night's Shade", Talks about Jimena finding out that her ex-"dead" boyfriend, Veto, was reanimated by the Atrox, and ends up being captured by the Atrox again, sacrificing Jimena to her safety. In This Book, "The Secret Scroll', the main character is Catty. Catty was found walking in the desert at age 4 by herself - her now, adopted-parent, found her, as she was driving along, and nurtured her to now, where she is a Goddess of the Moon, who has a special power. She can travel back in time. Many years later, after searching and wondering whom her mother was, and why she left her, finally came across her mother- dead. Her mother had a black goddess of the moon amulet- because it was black, which means the amulet was dead. The only reason the amulet would be black is if you turn against the Daughters. Catty brought the Secret Scroll, which was in Latin and the purpose of it was a guide to destroy the Atrox, to Maggie, who was here "mother" sense for the daughters, and Maggie kept it with her to study. But when Catty came back, to see Maggie, she saw her hand the Secret Scroll to the Regulators, which were serious followers of the Atrox. Is Maggie Betraying Her, And Secretly Giving the Regulators information? Will this Scroll be the ultimate way to destroy the Atrox? I Think This Book Was Great. It's one of those books that you just can't put down when you turn the first page. It's not like an average book, where the main character is never harmed and there's always a Happy Ending. You don't know what to expect, which is a great thrill to readers, well to me especially. Lynne Ewing is an astonishing writer. Her talents are quite visible with her Daughters of the Moon series, and her feedback from her fans. I recommend this book to anyone who has read one of Lynne Ewing's Books, and liked her style. Usually, mostly older teens, and even adults, read the Daughter of the Moons series. If you like fiction books, in general you would most likely like this book. But specifically, I would say this genre would be mixed in Science Fiction, Mystery, and Adventure.
